Family Partner
Hi. We are the Harris family. Michael
Sr. (Dad), Kelly (Mom), Sujea (12 years old), Michael Jr. (8 years old), Sabrina
(9years old), Isaiah (8 years old), and Samone (3 years old). We currently live
in the Woodlawn section of Schenectady.
We moved to Schenectady about 6 years
ago to be closer to Michael Sr.'s parents. With their help, I, Kelly, was able
to go to nursing school at Ellis Hospital where I am currently employed as an
RN. Michael is working nights doing maintenance, and will be taking classes
starting in Spring to complete a degree in business management. Our children are
great students who love to play outside and spend time reading and doing crafts.
We applied for a Habitat house in Dec
2007, and when we found we were approved we were overjoyed! We are so excited
and appreciative for this blessing. The children cannot wait to move into the
new home! We never thought that such a wonderful thing like this could happen to
us! Thank you Habitat for Humanity, and thank you to all the amazing volunteers.
We love you!
