If you are looking to buy a home in Schenectady County, NY for your family and are financially limited check into the Habitat for Humanity of Schenectady County. Our selection committee chooses homeowners (partner families) based on their

level of need
willingness to become partners in the program, and
ability to repay the no-interest loan.

This is not a giveaway program, the eventual homeowner buys the house. Every affiliate of Habitat for Humanity follows a non-discriminatory policy of family selection. Neither race nor religion is a factor in choosing homeowners families.
