HFHSCNY Quilt Raffle Information

For the past few years HFHSCNY has been holding a quilt raffle to help raise much needed funds for our mission to provide affordable housing to those in need. Each year the quilt is made through the efforts a volunteers. Please read on to see how you can participate in this worthwhile effort.

Make a quilt block for the 2010 Habitat Raffle Quilt!

Our 2010 Habitat Raffle Quilt will have a theme of “Home Sweet Home for Habitat”.  We need quilt blocks to create this quilt.  You can use any technique which will be washable; our quilt is meant to be used.  Please make a block and help make this project a success.  This year we have an optional fabric (yellow/gold/brown leaf design) which you can incorporate in your block as well as an optional house block (6 X 6 pattern), which will help tie the blocks together.  If you would like a piece of this fabric (while supplies last) and/or the pattern, please contact Mary Phillips at habitat@hfhscny.org. 

Requirements:
            Blocks must be washable.  Prewash all fabrics.
            Finished Block size 9” X 9” (Unfinished size 9 ½” X 9 ½”)
            Theme:  Home Sweet Home for Habitat
            Techniques:  This can be pieced, appliquéd, or any other technique you choose.  However, if paint is used, it must be washable and NOT three-dimensional.  Please do not submit blocks “on-point”.
