Women Build

First Women Build in Schenectady County

The Women Build home at 1945 Watt Street in Schenectady, NY has been completed and dedication occurred on Sunday, November 7, 2004. Discussions are underway for another Women Build project. With these housing projects there is a lot more involved than just the construction on the home. In addition to construction activity, volunteers are needed for publicity, special events, family relations, volunteer coordination, providing lunch and childcare, fundraising, recruiting more women, etc. So, there are many opportunities for women of all skills and interests.
